OF BOREDOM, FRUSTRATION, ANARCHISTS AND INTENSITY

Dear readers,

how can a game like ours be this great and still cause severe boredom. Easy enough to explain, since we play this game daily, it is hard to avoid this. Even the most exiting war will be boring in its x-th reiteration. Fortunately for those teams still moving up into the top 100 this does usually not happen, but once you are established there, it will be impossible to fight a good team because of the warshield. It prevents active teams to find another active team, unless you want to waste at least 3 hours for a questionable chance to be matched with a true top team.

Now frustration comes sometimes with boredom and sometimes it is caused by other issues. These could be a promotion to general you are so desperately waiting for or even worse, having this rank taken away by your leader. Not every player in a team can be a general, this should be limited to the most serious and clever players, not necessarily those with the highest experience points or the strongest bases. GL might look like a game for bullies, but it is really a game for the best strategists. Obviously, frustration is a well known feeling for a leader as well: Players who are not active or players who leave the team, just to join a higher ranked team are just a couple of examples. Even worse are players who complain all the time or players who are somewhat active, but only when they want and not when the team desperately needs their support. Looking at this graph above, you can see that as long as you are a member of a team in GL, you should be able to withstand much higher frustration levels than just  playing on your own.

Anarchists are amongst our favorite personalities in this game, next to "high level team groupies". Usually these players with anarchist tendencies are males between ages 12 and 20. They usually know exactly what they don't want to do and listening to their team leadership is not something they like. They fight their own little wars and make enemies whereever they can. It is best, if they fight on their own, until they have learned to be better team players.

Finally, we want to finish on a high note. Intensity can get very high in this game as many of you will have already noticed. Daily wars, sometimes quite hard, require a lot of dedication and time. When a war goes on for more than 24 hours, both teams fight on a very high level. To keep this up for days without taking a break is tough. You need to manage your time in the game, on the job or in school and with your family well to stay in balance. Get the priorities right and maybe, just maybe other things have to be of higher priority than our game.

So try to be patient with your teammates and with your leader and try to come up with the best solution for a successful career in GL.

Happy fighting!

I am depressed

Kermit the Frog | 05/11/2014

Hi I am "working" at $.Destruction.$ actually, and only 4 out of 11 members are fighting actively a hard war against GLI ITALIANI.
THAT SUCKS. We (4) are fighting as much as we can. Our levels and experience should be enough to give them adequate returns. BUT our inactive members present more points than we are able to gain: THIS IS REALLY DEPRESSING! My frustrations level is at max...
